“I want to share my personal journey as a transgender man at Twogether.
From my initial interview, where discussions around gender identity and pronouns were embraced, to the ongoing support I receive, the company shows an unwavering dedication to creating an inclusive environment.
They provided time in the day for medical appointments and procedures related to my transition. Granting paid sick leave allowed me to focus on my physical and emotional healing. This invaluable support has allowed me to prioritise my well-being and embrace my authentic self. By aligning with our value of working together, the company recognises the importance of supporting employees throughout their personal journeys, as much as their professional.
Twogether understands the significance of gender-neutral bathrooms and the impact they have on the well-being of transgender individuals. Having these spaces available throughout the office has provided a sense of safety, allowing me to navigate the workplace without fear of judgment or misgendering.
Twogether encourages all employees to include their pronouns in their email signatures. This simple yet powerful act fosters a culture of respect and creates a sense of belonging for everyone. It acknowledges and values each person's gender identity, reflecting our commitment to embracing diversity and authenticity.
My journey as a transgender man at Twogether has been empowered by the unwavering support I have received. Discussions surrounding LGBTQ+ topics are not taboo; instead, respectful, and those not directly involved in the community are both happy and eager to learn more about our personal journeys as well as how they can support us as allies.
